# Live band or DJ: which suits your event?

A live band brings energy, a real show and a moment your guests will remember. A DJ plays the exact recordings and keeps the floor moving for longer. You do not have to choose: a band with an in-house DJ gives you the live headline sets and a DJ to the end of the night.

## What a live band adds

- A real performance, not a playlist through speakers
- Songs shaped to the room as the night goes
- A focal point for the evening that guests talk about afterwards

## What a DJ adds

- The exact recordings of your favourite songs
- Music from the end of the live set to the last dance
- Easy requests on the night

## The best of both

Supernova is a live band with an in-house DJ in one booking, with full sound and lighting included. See the band and DJ guide for how the night runs.

## Questions

### Is a live band louder than a DJ?

A professional band sets the volume to the room. Sound is engineered for the venue, so guests can still talk at the tables.

### Do we need space for a band?

A band needs a clear performance area and power near it. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will confirm what is needed.
